With a heavy, stable base and metal pole, this pole light is safe for children and pets.

Simple assembly in just 5 minutes by following the instructions: 1) Screw together the sections of the pole, 2) Attach the base to the bottom of the lamp pole, 3) Secure the screw under the base, 4) Snap the lamp shades onto the lamp heads clockwise, 5) Install E26 based bulbs into each socket. Use bulbs under 25 watts.
